Full Mouth Dental Implants in NYC

Get a Beautiful, Functional Smile in One Day!

Like most people with missing teeth, you may feel embarrassed when smiling or interacting with others, and you also may be experiencing self-esteem issues. Considering this, it’s important to note that any delay in replacing – or failure to replace – missing teeth can cause an array of physical problems, on top of the emotional issues. Empty tooth sockets can cause adjacent teeth to shift, thereby leading to unnatural tooth erosion, bacteria build-up, gum infections, more extensive tooth decay, and loss of remaining teeth. Full mouth dental implants are the only permanent tooth replacement solution for your upper jaw, lower jaw or both. Choosing a highly skilled periodontist versus a general dental practitioner for full mouth dental implants can result in more optimal treatment outcomes. Our practice is dedicated to delivering customized full mouth dental implants in Manhattan, NY. Unlike practices that offer full arch dental implants as one service on a long menu, focusing on one primary treatment has enabled our periodontist Dr. Marc Christian Kay to refine his implant skills and offer several innovative full mouth rejuvenation solutions. He feels grateful for the opportunity to deliver top-quality full mouth dental implants that transform lives, and this gratitude translates to excellent, personalized patient care!

If you need full-mouth dental implants in Manhattan, NY, look no further than the team at Implant Dental Works. We have the knowledge and experience to assess your situation to determine if implants are the best option for you. We can also advise you on the best technique to use for your situation. Whole-mouth dental implants require more care from your dentist, so rest assured that the team at Implant Dental Works can help.

All-On-4®

Our popular All-on-4 system relies on two implants strategically positioned at the front of the mouth and two precisely angled implants at the back, all of which work together to provide support for each full arch. In many cases, this protocol eliminates the need for bone grafting. The minimally invasive nature of this protocol results in a shorter healing process. Since fewer implants are used, this offers more flexibility to design the perfect replacement teeth for you!

TeethXpress®

With TeethXpress, four to six implants are placed into your jaw in sites with the densest bone, then the temporary or (after healing) permanent prosthesis is attached to the abutment posts.  TeethXpress in Manhattan, NY uses BioHorizons® tapered implants with Laser-Lok® technology for superior immediate load primary stability. With TeethXpress, you can get natural-looking and fully functioning teeth … without having to wait many months or undergo painful procedures!

Why Does Dental Implant Experience Matter?

Delivering Life-Changing Smiles More Efficiently

1.Step One: Consultation And Planning

We pride ourselves on our complete transparency and open communication with our patients. As such, we’ll discuss the negative health consequences of untreated missing teeth and the cost of treatment, as well as explain the entire process up front, so you know what to expect from start to finish. At our patient-centered practice, the fully guided process begins with a complete examination and scan of your jawbone, nerve tissue and sinus cavities with cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT). About 150–200 images are created in less than a minute, then compiled into a single 3D picture. This virtual 3D model is easily manipulated to plan the optimal positioning of your dental implants with a high degree of accuracy. Before you leave, we’ll schedule your implant surgery procedure.

2.Step Two: Guided Implant Surgery

Fully guided technology enables precise dental implant placement, dramatically reduces the length of the surgery, and eliminates the need for numerous follow-up appointments. In addition to a local anesthetic, we offer nitrous oxide, as well as oral and IV sedation to ensure your comfort during surgery and to alleviate dental anxiety. After sedation has taken effect, Dr. Kay extracts any remaining teeth, identifies optimal areas in your jawbone, and makes small incisions in your gums where the implants will be placed. Implant screws are placed in your jawbone and a connector called an abutment is attached to each implant. For immediate-load solutions, coupling innovative protocols with our on-site milling machine allows us to deliver a temporary (provisional) restoration at the same time as surgery. We mill your temporary teeth from a dense block of polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA), a high-quality material used in dentistry for various prosthetic dental applications. PMMA offers excellent durability and natural-looking translucency. If you opt for oral or IV sedation, a designated person will need to be with you to drive you home due to lingering side effects of the medication.

3.Step Three: Healing And Follow-Up Visit

While everyone’s healing process differs, postsurgery recovery typically requires 72 hours of rest and ice packs to reduce any swelling. In some cases, we may prescribe medications to manage pain and prevent infections. In addition, you’ll need to eat a soft diet to avoid placing too much force on your newly placed implants. Dr. Kay likes to schedule one follow-up visit to check your progress and ensure everything is healing correctly, but it takes dental implants from three to six months to fuse with new bone growth in your jaw in a process called “osseointegration.” Proper osseointegration is essential for dental implants to act like natural tooth roots and provide a strong and durable foundation for your new teeth.

4.Step Four: Final Restoration

While everyone’s healing process differs, postsurgery recovery typically requires 72 hours of rest and ice. After you’ve fully recovered, you’ll return to our office to be fitted with your customized full mouth restoration. We use the highest-quality durable materials, including NANO-CERAMIC®, full-contour zirconia with a liquid ceramic coating and Prettau® zirconia. All of these natural-looking materials provide excellent strength and esthetics while resisting stains, fractures and wear. Backs to reduce any swelling. The Limitations of Dentures and Bridges

Although dentures and bridges can help restore some function, they don’t stimulate bone growth or remedy bone loss in your jawbone. Clicking, slipping, dietary limitations, discomfort, messy denture adhesives and nightly removal for cleanings are common complaints among denture wearers. Fixed and removable bridges and dentures are possible options for replacing missing teeth, yet no other dental solution provides the long-lasting and life-changing advantages of full mouth dental implants! Full mouth dental implants restore more than 99% of natural function, enabling proper nutrition, as well as the ability to smile, talk and laugh without feeling self-conscious!
